Fall is undoubtedly my favorite time of year.
Football, cooler weather, fall colors, soft sweaters, raking leaf piles and letting the kids jump in them,
visiting the pumpkin patch, carving pumpkin, warm apple cider...the list goes on and on.

It is finally cooling down here and we have had a breath of fresh cool air blow in...

I found this squirrel nut cracker at our local antique mall and snatched him right up.
He still works!
He still works!
I also found these antique locks and until I get my wall grouping of pictures for the family room and dining rooms decided upon...they get to hang out here. I thought they were a fun addition, along with
my mother's riding helmet. I really love to add family treasures that have meaning when I put things together.
Old books are wonderful and fun to decorate with...
I thought the back side of them had wonderful fall colors to display...

Our front entrance gets a lot of natural light which I love.
Large glass vases and bowls just glow in the light...
I found this one recently at TJ Maxx.
I hope you enjoyed the tour.

I so love your natural look and the family heirlooms that really put a meaning into your lovely entry. You could look all over the place and not find another JUST LIKE yours. I love that fact.

Lovely, and elegant looking. Love the big glass vases-especially the one with the green leaves. I like all the light coming in-of course I couldn't do that- I would have to dust too much!LOL!
Just gorgeous! Love the squirrel.
You have done a wonderful job. Just lovely.
We live on a lake, too.

Looks awesome, Kristine. You always do a great job decorating. But, how do you keep your house so clean with 4 kids and 2 dogs??? My house is always borderline disaster, and I can't keep up with the dust bunnies and pet hair:(
Your entry looks great and I like your use of the leaves in the large glass vases. They're so pretty with the light shining through. Cute squirrel nutcracker, too.

Hi Kristine...
It's just lil' ol' me again. After adding your blog to my list of blog follows, I began visiting a few of your past posts. I seen a post that you did about Estes Park and just had to leave you another note. Was just wondering if you are from Colorado? I live in the northeastern corner of Colorado...near Sterling. We love going up to the mountains...camping up Poudre Canyon is one of our favorites! Of course, we love Estes as well!
Anyway, just wanted to let you know!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
Gorgeous! It really does look like a magazine! Even the lighting is perfect!
